The Site Manager provides the leadership on site to ensure a safe environment is maintained, and work is completed in a profitable and timely manner by developing and maintaining good working relations while representing Swisslog's interests in dealing with the client, suppliers and third parties on site and off, and also working directly with the greater Swisslog Project and Site Services Teams.

Responsibilities

Make an impact
  • Provide detailed construction site coordination for the installation of the material handling systems.
  • Supervise and coordinate the mechanical and electrical installation with the engineering and installation teams. Maintain a strong emphasis on quality control.
  • Identify problem areas and concerns and ensure timely resolution directly or in cooperation with vendors and the project team as needed.
  • Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the contract requirements
  • Fully execute the Swisslog Site Management SOP. Including the established safety and administrative processes in place for the Site Service team. (utilize the team to make sure you have the right answer).
  • Maintain close coordination and communication with the Project Manager, Customer, Contracting staff and third-party suppliers, engineering, and line manager  

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed Essential:
  • Large Team leadership skills and organization/coordination experience within the material handling industry.
  • 5+ years as Site Manager or Installation Manager/Supervisor for automated material handling systems applications or comparable experience.
  • 5+ years as Site Manager or Installation Manager/Supervisor for automated material handling systems applications or comparable experience.
  • 5+ years as Site Manager or Installation Manager/Supervisor for automated material handling systems applications or comparable experience.
  • Strong emphasis on process control.
  • Very strong emphasis on safety management and safety plan execution
  • MS Project experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 75% + with ongoing flexibility outside of approved PTO requests.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances on sites and with evolving processes, new equipment types and standards, customer requirements.
  • Well refined computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Sound application knowledge of automated material handling equipment such as AS/RS, pallet and case conveyors, sorters, AGV’s, monorails.
  • Strong experience in reading, understanding and translating various schematics and blueprints.
Desired:
  • AS in Mechanical Engineering or Construction
  • 30-Hour OSHA Course Certification
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certified
  • Powerpoint and other presentation skills and experience.
  • AutoCad experience.
