The Controls Team Manager leads a team of Controls Engineers and Controls Technicians assigned to performing controls design & development, on-site implementation and commissioning of controls intensive project activities, and providing Level 2 & Level 3 support of electro-mechanical and controls incidents and problems being managed by the global helpdesk. The manager is responsible for the management and scheduling of Customer Service controls resources, and they are accountable for assuring project implementation work performed by their team is completed within agreed project budgets, deadlines, and quality standards.

Desired
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science / or equivalent experience in the field of Automation or Electrical / Controls engineering.
- Several years industrial experience with sound knowledge of PLC Platforms in either Siemens S7 (Step 7 v5 or TIA Portal) or Rockwell (Controllogix Allen-Bradley).
- Be able to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.
- Experience in the management of subcontractors delivering electrical installations and control systems.
- Excellent word processing and spreadsheet skills.
- Application knowledge of Swisslog warehouse systems (conveyors, monorail, etc.).
- Experience building and leading teams.
- Practical experience of electrical / controls engineering & electrical installations
- Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet and modern field buses (e.g. PROFIBUS, ASi), AC drives and design experience of HMI systems would be an advantage.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to give constructive feedback and hold others accountable
- Travel as required to support projects

- Several years industrial experience working with automated warehousing systems.
- Experience working with network communication (VLAN’s, Layers 2 and 3 Setup, IP Addresses, Subnets, etc).
